Read moreWhat's Under the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas? A Performance Breakdown
Big SUVs promise a lot on paper, but the 2026 VW Atlas actually delivers where it counts. Smooth, confident power, real towing capability, and traction that holds up through Ontario's toughest weather all come standard, no matter what's loaded in the back. At approximately $58,000* before taxes and options, it's a rare case of premium performance meeting genuine value.
Turbocharged Strength You Can Feel
Under the hood, the 2026 Volkswagen Atlas features a 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI® engine producing 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Power comes on smoothly whether you're merging onto the highway or climbing steep hills, giving the SUV a responsive feel despite its spacious size. Combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission, every shift feels refined, helping the Atlas balance performance with everyday efficiency.
4MOTION Confidence for Canadian Roads
Canadian weather rarely sticks to one season, and that's exactly where Volkswagen's 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive shines. The intelligent system continuously adjusts power between the wheels to maintain grip on rain-soaked roads, snowy highways, or loose gravel. Add in customizable drive modes, and the 2026 VW Atlas performance features adapt effortlessly to changing road conditions, giving drivers extra confidence wherever the journey leads.
Built to Tow Without Breaking a Sweat
Need an SUV that works just as hard as it plays? The 2026 Volkswagen Atlas offers a 5,000-pound towing capacity, making it easy to tow boats, campers, or utility trailers. Even with all that capability, it still delivers the practicality families expect, including seating for seven passengers and an impressive 2,735 litres of cargo space, making every road trip easier to pack for.
Meet the Atlas at Barrie Volkswagen
Third-row seating usually means someone's uncomfortable and the engine's working overtime just to keep up. The Atlas handles both better than expected, with enough room in the back and enough muscle under the hood that nobody's complaining on the ride home. See it for yourself at Barrie Volkswagen.
